1. Shipping Options & Timelines

We offer two shipping methods with different timelines and pricing. All durations are estimates and begin after your order has been processed and dispatched from our Lagos facility.

Weekly Service (Consolidated Shipping)

Your goods are consolidated with other shipments and sorted at the destination port before delivery or pickup.

  • United Kingdom:
    Door Delivery: ₦7,500/kg | 12-13 working days
  • United States:
    Office Pickup (Texas): ₦10,000/kg (includes delivery + clearance) | 1+ week
  • Canada:
    Office Pickup (Toronto/Calgary): ₦7,000/kg + $2 clearance | 1+ week
  • Europe:
    Door Delivery: ₦18,500/kg | 2 weeks
    Countries covered: Spain, Holland, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Denmark, Slovakia, Belgium, Austria, Portugal, Slovenia, France, Sweden, Malta
Express Service (Faster Delivery)

Direct shipment with expedited processing and delivery.

  • United Kingdom:
    Door Delivery: ₦13,500/kg | 5-6 working days
  • United States:
    Door Delivery: ₦28,000/kg | 5-7 working days
  • Canada:
    Door Delivery: ₦27,000/kg | 7-8 working days
  • Europe:
    Door Delivery: ₦21,500/kg | 8-9 working days

2. Minimum Order & Weight

Minimum shipment weight: 10kg for all services and regions.

Shipping costs are calculated based on the total weight of your order. Weight is calculated in kilograms (kg).

3. Restricted & Prohibited Items

To ensure your package clears customs and complies with international shipping regulations, please note the following restrictions:

Completely Prohibited Items

The following items cannot be shipped under any circumstances:

  • Medication
  • Wood products
  • Hair/body sprays
  • Pesticides (e.g., Sniper)
Restricted Items (Express Service Only)

The following items can ONLY be shipped via Express service and are subject to an 80% success rate (20% risk of seizure at customs):

  • Goat meat
  • Ponmo (cow skin)
  • Snail
  • Guinea fowl
  • Chicken (and chicken-based products like Chicken Indomie/Knorr)

These items are NOT allowed on Weekly/Consolidated services.

Liquid Items
  • UK, USA, Canada: Liquids (e.g., palm oil) allowed on Weekly service only. NOT allowed on Express.
  • Europe: Liquids allowed on both Weekly and Express services.

Orders containing prohibited items will be automatically cancelled or modified.

4. International Clearance Fees & Duties

Clearance Fees (Already Included or Separate?)

Weekly Service:

  • USA: ₦10,000/kg includes clearance fee (office pickup only)
  • Canada: ₦7,000/kg + $2 CAD/kg clearance (office pickup) – clearance paid at destination
  • UK & Europe: Clearance included in shipping cost

Express Service:

  • All regions: Clearance included in shipping cost
Duty & Tax Charges (Paid at Destination)

Customers may be required to pay additional duty and/or tax charges imposed by local customs authorities:

  • USA (Express): Duty charges may apply before delivery
  • Canada (Express): Duty charges are applied before delivery
  • Europe: Duty and tax charges may sometimes apply

These are separate from AfoMarket shipping fees and are determined by local customs authorities.

5. Pickup vs. Doorstep Delivery

Doorstep Delivery

Available in UK, USA (Express only), Canada (Express only), and Europe. Your package is delivered directly to the address you provide.

Office Pickup
  • USA (Weekly): Pick up at Texas office
  • Canada (Weekly): Pick up in Toronto or Calgary
  • UK & Europe: Not available for pickup; doorstep delivery only

Doorstep delivery by request: If doorstep delivery is not listed for your region/service, please contact us for a custom quote with your delivery address.

6. Liquid Items & Special Handling

  • Palm oil and other liquids are allowed on Weekly services for UK, USA, and Canada.
  • Liquids are restricted on Express services for UK, USA, and Canada.
  • All liquid items are vacuum-sealed to prevent leakage during transit.
  • Customers are responsible for proper storage upon receipt.

7. Customs & Delivery Disclaimer

  • Timeline Estimates: All delivery timelines are estimates and begin after dispatch from Nigeria. AfoMarket is not responsible for delays caused by:

    • Airline schedules
    • Holiday seasons
    • Customs inspections or processing delays
    • Extreme weather conditions
    • Border inspections
  • Delivery Address: We are not responsible for lost or misdelivered shipments if you provide an incorrect or incomplete delivery address. Please double-check your address before checkout.

  • Local Regulations: While AfoMarket has curated its inventory to comply with international shipping standards, you are ultimately responsible for ensuring that the items you order are permitted for import into your specific country.

  • Restricted Item Risk: Restricted items shipped via Express service have an 80% success rate. In the 20% of cases where items are seized at customs, AfoMarket is not liable for the loss.
